Welcome

To paraphrase Nina Simone's song "Feeling Good" it's a new day, it's a new blog for me, and I'm feeling good.

This blog will focus on the Magic and Wonder that is life. I'm drawing on the song Sweet Freedom song by Michael McDonald, which happens to be one of my favourite songs of all time. I once had a dream where this song was blaring away. The song was there to remind me that I am the Magic.

No more runnin down the wrong road
Dancin to a different drum
Can't you see whats goin on
Deep inside your heart
Always searchin for the real thing
Livin like its far away
Just leave all the madness in yesterday
You're holdin the key
When you believe it

Chorus:
Shine sweet Freedom
Shine your light on me
You are the MagicYou're right where I wanna be
Oh sweet freedom carry me along
We'll keep the spirit alive on and on
Sweet Freedom, Lyrics written by Rod Temperton

Enough Already!

My mother and I were watching an evangelist preaching on the God channel. I asked her what the preacher's name was. She checked the programme's synopsis but his name wasn't listed. After a while the preacher called out a name.

"Did you hear that?" mum said. "I think he's just said his name - Todd Bentley."

"Did he?"

He continued to preach and then mentioned his name again.

"I heard it this time. It is Todd Bentley. Thank you for answering my question."

After a few minutes he said his name again.

"Enough already, I heard you. Thank you."

Ask and you will receive.

Thank You, God!

My mother and I were watching It's Supernatural in which Sid Roth interviews people about their supernatural experiences. In last night's programme Jason Westerfield shared his vision of the future economy. He talked about what people should invest in. He also mentioned toilet paper.

"Did you hear that mum?" I said. "He's advising people to invest in toilet paper."

"Yes, I heard."

I'm a huge fan of toilet paper not for its popular use because I like eating it. I was only complaining the other day about how non-toilet paper eaters don't understand the needs of people who eat toilet paper. At least I know God cares about my needs and is asking people to invest in my food.

It's Not Rocket Science, Is It?

So my mother and I were discussing actors whom she thinks see themselves as gods.

"At least the A-list actors do," I chuckled. "Doesn't the Bible tell us we are gods?"

"Yes, it's in Psalm 82."

"It goes: I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. Psalm 82. We all have enormous power within going to waste."

"It's a shame most people don't know this," mum said.

"I think people do know but they don't use what they've got."

"Come on, of the 7 billion people on the planet, how many people know this?" mum said.

"You tell me, you're a Christian. There must be millions of Christians on the planet who believe in a higher power. Plus, there are all these people waking up to the power of their thoughts. Imagine if millions of people were living as gods, the world will be transformed instantly."

"I still think people don't know how powerful they are."

Later when my mother was flicking through the Christian channels on television, she came across a reporter speaking about the effects of the sun's radiation. The expert was advising viewers to only take in small doses of sunlight at a time.

"I can’t believe he's giving out that kind of information on a programme that attracts millions of viewers!" I said.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't Christians believe God is Spirit?"

"Yes."

"If you live and have your being in God why would the sun's rays be harmful to you?"

"This is what I meant earlier when I said people don't know," mum said. "If they lived by this truth, they wouldn't be so scared."

"Doesn't even Paul, who most teachers follow, talk about God being all in all? God is omnipresent meaning He is everywhere present. Then God is in the sun's rays which can't be harmful unless you believe in a God of pain," I said. "

"It just shows that a lot of people either don't believe in God, even though they call themselves Christians, or haven't got a clue."

"It's like the blind leading the blind," I said. "Father forgive these presenters for they know not what they are presenting."

It's not rocket science, is it? Either I believe in God's allness or I don't. And according to my belief so are my life experiences?

There was a time when I used to wear my shades as soon as the sun came out because I thought the rays were harmful. I would go through the whole summer with shades. When I accepted God's omnipresence as truth, I stopped wearing shades. I haven't worn them in years.

Even though the experts would have us believe that black skin have an inbuilt protection from the sun, I used to still use sunscreen. Again, when I chose to trust in God, I stopped worrying about stuff like that.

It's because I believe in God's omnipresence that's why I am no longer fussed about food. I still do have my food preferences though."

I'm a simple woman living with simple truth principles. I believe in the infinite Power of Love that interpenetrates all space, all time, all realities. Therefore, there is nothing to fear.

Love is all there is.

God Doesn't Need a Helping Hand

Sometimes I watch the comedy Two and a Half Men which is about two bachelors, Charlie and Alan who are brothers; and Alan's son, Jake. In last night's episode, Evelyn, their mother admires Charlie's new girlfriend's nose and asks if a particular plastic surgery had performed her nose job. The girl says it's her own nose. Evelyn says sometimes God makes nice noses too.

I thought Evelyn's observation was hilarious!

Later, I noticed an advert for another product to protect babies' skin. Has it ever occurred to you that your baby's skin is quite capable of regenerating itself? That which is already Perfect doesn't need a helping hand, all you need to do is let Perfection be.

And yet scientists keep churning out these wonderful products for us to titivate ourselves. In the meantime, the real You with perfect skin is lying dormant waiting to come out.

God doesn't need a helping hand.
Just let Perfection be.

The pig who was afraid of mud

by JOEL TAYLOR - Tuesday, June 10, 2008

For Cinderella, the old adage of being as happy as a pig in muck couldn't have been farther from the truth.

That's because the piglet hated the stuff.

So farmer Andre Keeble, of Thirsk, North Yorkshire, kitted her out with her own set of wellies.

He said: 'We've never had a pig that wouldn't go in mud. It's just odd.' The pig who was afraid of mud

*********************************************

I reckon she is a real City pig who can't cope without her wellies. Click in the link above if you want to see the pig kitted up.
