Last night when I got home I noticed my mother was watching some programme on television about the "Britain's Best Homes" where experts visit people who have designed their own homes. The audience have to vote which is their favourite.
One house was designed in different shades of white. It looked beautiful and spotless. In fact, the owners have a basement where they and their kids spend most of their time, while the rest of the house is simply just for show.
How can a place be a home if you can't live in it? It's like being in the "Ideal Home Exhibition."
We all have our different likes and dislikes. I guess that's what makes life interesting.
I would rather live in a home where I can be myself than in a showroom.
